Here’s a small Wutianqi update!
Printable Boards
Good news:
If you want printable Wutianqi boards that aren’t super crowded when full of pieces, those are now available!
2″x2″ spaces work but get extremely cramped. 2-1/8″x2-1/8″ spaces work MUCH better.
Bad news:
Five 2-1/8″ spaces in a row present an image larger than what some printers can print. 10-5/8″ is awfully close to the 11″ of most pages!
If you can print with such small margins, great! Here‘s the “tiny margin” pdf.
If your printer needs larger margins then here‘s the “large margin” pdf, which requires a bit more assembly.
Good news:
The printable boards now include the River, for less ambiguity!
Bad news:
You’ll have to assemble the river as well.
Unless you don’t want it, in which case you can just not print that page (in the tiny margin pdf).
I’ll update the main Wutianqi download page with these links once this blog post is posted!
Prototype Boards
Next up is a more ~professional~ board.
I’ve found a website, www.printplaygames.com, which seems to be a good blend of sizing and value for what I need. Several copies of Wutianqi’s printable boards will get printed from there on proper folding board material for an upgraded playtest experience.
Also planned is a “deluxe” folding board with some fancy information on either side of the board.
It’ll have some markers for your hand, to-be-summoned elementals, and captured pieces. You’ll also have access to some quick tips, like the quick reference sheet but smaller!
